●【Travel Plan - Day 1】
From visiting power spots to enjoying exquisite wine
-【1】 Visit Mimine Shrine, one of the most popular power spots in Kanto.
After arriving at Seibu-Chichibu Station, the tour begins with a visit to Mimine Shrine.
The entire area is a power spot with a history dating back to mythological times, but the most important thing not to miss is the sacred trees in front of the hall of worship. The two huge cedar trees, said to be 800 years old, are considered to be the strongest power spots in Mimine Shrine, and since you can touch them directly, you are sure to receive a lot of power from them. Also, as you proceed from the worship hall into the mountains, you will find the "marriage tree," which is made up of two different trees intertwined as if they were a single tree. Many worshippers visit this spot to pray for the fulfillment of their love, and it is also a spot that should be visited at least once.
Located at an elevation of approximately 1,100 meters, the air is fresh and clean, and the view of the mountains of Okuchichibu is spectacular.
-【2】Enjoy Chichibu's exquisite wines while dressed in a fashionable kimono called "Chichibu Meisen"
Because Chichibu is surrounded by mountains and unsuitable for rice cultivation, sericulture has flourished in the area since ancient times. Taimori, made from silk produced in this area, was renamed "Chichibu Meisen" in the early Meiji period (1868-1912), and is designated as a national traditional craft.
Characterized by vivid and bold colors and designs, woven fabrics dominated women's fashionable clothing from the Taisho era (1912-1926) to the early Showa era (1926-1989). While gorgeous, many of these antique kimonos feature patterns of plants and trees, making them easy to use in everyday life and allowing you to enjoy a different kind of fashionable style.
★After visiting Sambine, you will change into Chichibu Meisen at a ryokan (traditional Japanese inn). The ryokan staff will assist you in dressing. Men's Chichibu Meisen is also available.
★After wearing Chichibu Meisen, we will take a chartered bus to Chichibu Wine, a long-established winery. You will visit the vineyard and enjoy wine tasting. After tasting, you can purchase your favorite wine at the store.
-【3】Accommodation is at the historic and retro "Suzaki Ryokan" hot spring hotel
Kogano, which flourished in the Meiji era (1868-1912) with its silk fabrics, is a typical lodging town dotted with wooden structures, and buildings with an atmosphere not seen in the city center can be seen here and there throughout the town.
After visiting the winery, enjoy a stroll through the streets while wearing Chichibu Meisen.
You will stay at the Suzaki Ryokan, which has been in the history of the inn town of Oshikano since 1907. The retro atmosphere of the ryokan still retains a soothing atmosphere where you can take a breather. Enjoy a meal of local cuisine using ingredients from the rich natural surroundings and a hot spring bath.
●【Travel Plan Day 2】
Which do you choose? Making honey wine or taking a hot bath and getting a massage?
The West Chichibu area is dotted with attractive spots.
On the morning of the second day, you will enjoy a choice of courses.
-[Course A] Deerlet Field Honey Wine Brewery Tour & Tasting Course
“Mead" has a long history as a celebratory drink in Europe and Scandinavia, and is a popular wedding gift, gift, and birthday present. Diarette Field Brewery slowly ferments honey and makes mead without any additives. The mead made with Chichibu's Hundred Flowers honey, as well as apple blossom, orange blossom, and lychee blossom honey, is very popular among wine and whiskey lovers. (From the official website.)
-[Course B] Germanium Hot Bath & Massage Course
After your body is ready for a relaxing massage at Palm Resort Chichibu, you will be able to enjoy a germanium hot bath and a relaxation massage. Let's detoxify your body too.
Germanium hot bath is a method of detoxifying the body by soaking only the hands and feet in hot water (around 42°C) containing dissolved organic germanium powder for 20 minutes to make the body sweat. This activates the metabolism, expels excess fat and waste from the body along with sweat, makes the body slightly alkaline, improves allergies and sensitivity to cold, and regenerates the skin by activating the cells. (From the official website)
After enjoying your favorite course in the morning, have an Italian lunch at Chichibu Usagida Shokudo, a restaurant attached to the Chichibu Usagida Winery's direct sales shop!
Enjoy our original dishes with Italian essence added to Chichibu's local cuisine, as well as Chichibu's sake and cheese.
